Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

The Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate (AP6) established eight task forces at its inaugural meeting in January 2006.

This booklet provides an overview of the achievements of the public-private Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate task forces over a six month period. Each task force summary provides a review of activity, objectives and projects. The task forces cover energy supply and energy intensive sectors including:
- cleaner fossil energy
- renewable energy and distributed generation
- power generation and transmission
- aluminium
- buildings and appliances
- cement
- coal mining
- steel
