Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

The role of business as a major player and as a solution provider is now recognized, and interaction with the public policy agenda is increasing.

Key to establishing such a role has been the growing number of corporations who have understood the vital importance of the corporate social responsibility, risk mitigation, and performance dimensions associated with the sustainable production and use of energy.

This website provides case studies reflecting a greater and more focused advocacy on societal and industrial energy and climate dilemmas, and on the business views regarding the solutions and their implications.
