Developing project proposals for the Global Environmental Facility (pdf 381kb)

The guide is designed to provide people and organizations that have ideas about how to prevent land degradation or rehabilitate degraded land with plain-language, step-by-step directions for accessing funds from the Global Environmental Facility for sustainable land management.

The guide is split into three sections:

- Section one gives the reader general information about the GEF, how it operates and its partners.
- Section two provides specific information about GEF's program to promote Sustainable Land Management (SLM) projects and a step-by-step guide for detailing how to apply for some of this funding.
- Section three is an appendix with helpful materials at the end of the document.
