The guide is designed to provide people and organizations that have ideas about how to prevent land degradation or rehabilitate degraded land with plain-language, step-by-step directions for accessing funds from the Global Environmental Facility for sustainable land management.The guide is split into three sections:
- Section one gives the reader general information about the GEF, how it operates and its partners.
- Section two provides specific information about GEF's program to promote Sustainable Land Management (SLM) projects and a step-by-step guide for detailing how to apply for some of this funding.
- Section three is an appendix with helpful materials at the end of the document.
