Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

This website provides information, links and resources on the role of water in achieving the Millennium Development Goals.

IWMI contributes to the CGIAR mission of reducing poverty and increasing food security and environmental conservation. IWMI is also committed to contribute towards the achievement of the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of reducing poverty and hunger and maintaining a healthy environment. In these three areas, water plays a key role as it is a contributing factor to many of the MDGs.
