Exploring biological diversity, environment and local perspectives in forest landscapes (pdf 2.19mb)

This publication provides a case study of a participatory research project in Indonesia that aimed to survey the local forest landscapes and the biological diversity within them providing methods for a multidisciplinary landscape assessment.

It describes how a participatory and multi-disciplinary survey was developed with indigenous communities in the forest-rich areas of East Kalimantan, as a way of gathering natural resource information that reflects the needs and knowledge of local communities.
