Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Effectively combating the HIV/AIDS pandemic (pdf 145kb)

This review looked at 50 CIDA-supported HIV programs, identified lessons and good practices and conducted interviews to assess the programs success and viability.

The review carried out by Stiles Associates Inc. involved the following:-
- Assessing documentation for 50 CIDA-supported HIV/AIDS investments
- Identifying lessons and good practices set out in international publications
- Analysis of key information from CIDA's electronic databases
- Interviewing more than 20 key informants (mostly CIDA health specialists and development officers)
