IF Development Praxis Award 2007

Each year the Indigo Foundation offers a Development Praxis Award to support and promote links between development research and practice. The award of $500 is granted to a person or organisation undertaking research that IF believes will contribute, in a practical and accessible way, to community development.

IF also provides non-financial support to award recipients, including access to our organisational experience and contacts and, as appropriate, introductions to communities that we are working with.

Research should be in an area relevant to our priority areas of health, education and agriculture and/ or our guiding principles of community ownership, sustainability, transparency and gender equity. Equally, we are interested in research into development strategy, in particular research relevant to IF's strategy of supporting community-based and managed non-government groups and organisations to plan, undertake and evaluate their own community development activities.

Further information on IF is available from the website.
