This Annual Report details recent changes to EU aid policy and progress that has been made to date.In particular, the report outlines the EU's efforts to:
- Ensure policy coherence with respect to development
- Adopt regional strategies that reflect EU priorities
- Develop a more simplified framework for external assistance
- Improve aid effectiveness by working more closely with partner countries and other development actors
- Improve the measurement of results and communicating lessons learnt
