Converging HIV and Sexual Reproductive Health Services, India (pdf 553 kb)
This report presents options and challenges for converging HIV and Sexual Reproductive Health Services in India based on findings from an assessment in four states: Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh. The report shares the findings of an assessment by the Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH), an international NGO, and is targeted at state and district level policymakers and service providers.
Specifically, the report explores how access to critical services for populations at risk of HIV and unintended pregnancy can be strengthened by converging HIV and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP).
