ANCP India Cluster Evaluation (pdf 525kb)

The AusAID NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) recognises community support for Australian non government organisations by subsidising AusAID accredited agencies for activities that alleviate poverty in developing countries.

This publication reports on the assessment of a sample of four ANCP activities, two from Full Accredited agencies and two from Base Accredited agencies, representing a variety of sectors. One of the activities was an early childhood care and development program, and three were integrated community development projects in
urban and rural settings.  Two of these three used literacy and environmental concerns as entry points, and three used women's Self Help Groups as a key operating method in the work.

Overall, the India Cluster Evaluation found three of the four ANCP activities to be at least satisfactory overall, with one activity assessed as Good Practice and another as Unsatisfactory.
