Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Gender checklist: agriculture (pdf 125kb)

This checklist is designed to assist staff and consultants in implementing ADB's policy and strategic objectives on gender and development in agriculture. Agriculture projects financed by ADB indicate that considerations related to gender issues and women's participation influence the success and sustainability of a project.

It will guide users through all stages of the project/program cycle in identifying the main gender issues in the agriculture sector and in designing appropriate gender-sensitive strategies, component and indicators to respond to gender issues.
