Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Qinghai community development project evaluation report

An AusAID project partnered with the Government of the People's Republic of China (GOPRC) to deliver the Qinghai project to complement national and local efforts to eliminate poverty in rural communities of Qinghai Province.

A project funded by AusAID that set out to achieve the following components:

- To establish income generating activities among local poor households through cash-for-work programs to improve access and water supply for households
- To assist poor households to participate in farming and nonfarming income generation activities by improving their savings and access to credit
- To improve community development through training service institutions associated with improvement of living standards
- Enable technical personnel to deliver appropriate agriculture and livestock extension, credit services, health and educational services
