Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

NACA: Network of Aquaculture Centres in Asia-Pacific

NACA is an intergovernmental organisation that promotes rural development through sustainable aquaculture. NACA seeks to improve rural income, increase food production and foreign exchange earnings and to diversify farm production. The ultimate beneficiaries of NACA activities are farmers and rural communities.

The core activities of NACA are:
- Capacity building through education and training
- Collaborative research and development through networking among centers and people
- Development of information and communication networks
- Policy guidelines and support to policies and institutional capacities
- Aquatic animal health and disease management

This site offers latest aquaculture news, forums, publications, and information on events and training. It addresses various topics such as genetics and biodiversity, health programmes, highland aquaculture, marine finfish aquaculture, shrimp farming and the environment.

The site also offers links to databases and services such as marine finfish photos, FishBase, LarvalBase and Invasive Alien Species.
