The cascade mechanism for planning, implementation and reporting in healthcare (179KB)
This booklet considers the features within the planning stage of healthcare activities that must be present if implementation is to occur. It provides practical advice, specific to the health industry, about the implementation component itself and the essential role of reporting, monitoring and evaluation in successful implementation. The main theme of the booklet emphasises that planning is a part of a process and not the process itself. The author argues that there are 3 components and they should never be separated or regarded as individual parts of management. These components include planning, implementation and reporting. She also claims that all levels of an organisation must understand and enthusiastically support each of these key components.
