Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Papua New Guinea's health sector: a review of capacity, change & performance issues (pdf 790kb)

This report examines the current reform process in Papua New Guinea's health sector from a capacity development perspective. It addresses a number of factors influencing capacity development, change and performance in the sector.

This includes issues internal to the National Department of Health (NDoH), capacity issues at sub-national levels, the institutional 'rules of the game' that guide attitudes, behaviour and relationships in the emerging PNG helath sector-wide approach (SWAp), as well as broader contextual factors.
