Clinical management of acute diarrhoea (pdf 464kb)
This report examines recent developments in the management of acute diarrhoea.It discusses how newly formulated oral rehydration salts (ORS) with lower concentration of glucose and salt, in addition to zinc supplements, can dramatically reduce the number of child deaths due to diarrhoeal diseases.
The report also describes the critical role that families and communities can play in successful diarrhoea management.
