Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Environmental action through community monitoring (case studies)

Waterwatch is a national community water monitoring program that encourages all Australians to become involved and be active in the protection and management of their waterways and catchments. Waterwatch is funded by the Commonwealth Government's Natural Heritage Trust.

The following stories highlight the enthusiasm and hard work that individuals, schools and community volunteers are undertaking to monitor, protect, improve and manage one of our most valuable resources, water.
