World CME

This website offers CME/CPD (Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Professional Development programs) free to low income nations. Eight countries use strategic multimedia medical education (for GPs/FPs and specialists) on a national basis, and most countries now additionally take the 'national accreditation services' which are now available.

A combination of multimedia CD and an online Open Access database allows the flow of education to get where it is needed and  networks of family doctors provided throught the service also offer the ability to send information quickly to and from family doctors to carry reporting systems for Avian flu outbreaks etc

Countries that currently use the service are Nepal, Indonesia, Iraq, Pakistan and the Philippines, but there is the ability to extend.
