Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

The Least Developed Countries Report 2007 (pdf 210kb)

This UNCTAD report focuses on how governments and their development partners can promote technological progress in least developed countries (LDCs) as part of their efforts to develop domestic productive capacities.

It tries to promote a progressive transition in which sustained and accelerated economic growth is achieved through the development of productive capacities and combined with the associated expansion of productive employment opportunities, there will be substantial poverty reduction.

It focuses on how LDC Governments and their development partners can promote technological progress in LDCs as part of their efforts to develop domestic productive capacities.
