Forest management
State of the World's Forests 2007
This report looks at progress towards sustainable forest management at the regional and global levels between 1990 to 2005.Key issues examined in the report include:
- Progress towards sustainable forestry by region
- Selected issues in the forestry sector, including climate change, desertification, harvesting invasive species, planted forests, trade in forest products and wildlife management
The report concludes that while positive progress is being made, progress between developed and developing countries remains uneven.
