A case study of the ethnic minority people, the Red Mhong and the significance of the Can Cau ethnic market in northern Vietnam to the Mhong's socio-economic needs.As little is known about the Mhong's livelihoods strategies and their socio-cultural aspects, the case study also identifies future research areas on the following topics:
