Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Community Development Snapshot Tool (pdf 260kb)

This capacity building tool provided in both English and Bahasa Indonesia includes lesson plans, facilitator's notes and analysis notes for participatory program implementation. It has been developed by the AusAID funded Australian Community Development and Civil Society Strengthening Scheme (ACCESS).

The tool has five sessions which include:

1. Analysis of the Management Organisation
2. Decision-making Analysis: Decision-making Matrix
3. Participation Analysis: Participation Matrix
4. Organisational relationships: Venn Diagram
5. Filling the Gaps Analysis
