Energy efficiency, security and conservation in India (pdf 240kb)
This review article examines the ADB's involvement in India's energy sector over the last 20 years and how the ADB can better promote energy efficiency, energy security and energy conservation.Based on a review study in 2007, it provides a summary of findings, feedback on the study, and key lessons, covering issues such as:
- Future strategies for reforming the energy sector
- Integration of energy initiatives into lending programs at central and state levels
- Tailoring ADB products and services to meet the evolving needs of clients
