Energy efficiency for a better future (pdf 210kb)
This article reviews a study of the ADB's Energy Policy 2000. The study rated the ADB's energy policy as successful overall, based on an assessment of its relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability.It also provides recommendations into future improvements into the policy, including a focus on anti-corruption. Some recommendations include:
- Managing the links between energy and environment
- Improving sector governance
- Developing an implementation plan for the new energy strategy
