Immunisation in Papua New Guinea (CDROM)

This training CD-ROM on the Expanded Program of Immunisation (EPI) is designed to help staff in health centres and sub-centres to play their part in the immunisation program in Papua New Guinea.

The EPI provides protection against seven infections which can cause serious illness or death. The manual helps staff to know how to take good care of vaccines, to vaccinate correctly and safely, dispose of waste properly, and manage their part of the immunisation program effectively.

The Immunisation CD-Rom has been developed with the assistance of the EPI unit of the National Department of Health (NDOH) of the Government of Papua New Guinea to support the health worker in-service training program. It is based on the EPI In-service training program developed with the support of the Women and Children's Health Project - WCHP (1998-2005), an AusAID funded program to improve health services for women and children across PNG.
