Anti-tuberculosis drug resistance in the world (pdf 2.3mb)

This report summarises the findings and trends of a survey between 2002 and 2006 on the drug resistance of tuberculosis.

The report is based on data covering 91,000 patients from 81 countries, including several countries with a high tuberculosis burden in Asia and Africa.

Issues covered in the report include an introduction to the aims of the survey, the methods used, results and a discussion on the significance of the findings.

The report also provides a number of recommendations for policy makers, health organisations and service providers on how best to tackle the development of drug resistance in tuberculosis around the world.
