ItrainOnline

This website provides materials and annotated links to high-quality resources in English, Spanish, French and other languages, on topics ranging from computer and internet basics, to highly technical areas, and to the ways that organisations can increase their impact using ICTs.

ItrainOnline is a joint initiative of six organisations with exceptional expertise in computer and internet training in developing nations. It was developed to provide civil society organisations and other organisations in developing countries with ICT training resources online. The materials use a standard set of templates, and offer building blocks for trainers to build their own courses.

Resources are provided in the following categories: Technical skills (Open Office, Searching the Internet, msiling lists, databases, burning CDs, digital audio production, audio archiving, secure online communications); Content development skills; Developing thematic content (Preventing violence against women, Reporting on HIV/AIDS); Organisational development and planning; and ICT policy, advocacy, and the digital divide. Some materials are also available in Russian.
