Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

The Real Access / Real Impact framework for improving ICTs for development (pdf 210kb)

The Real Access/Real Impact framework attempts to determine whether there is real access to ICT, by going beyond computers so that technology makes a real impact on socio-economic development and poverty reduction.

This report provides an overview to the Real Access/Real Impact approach to ICT initiatives and guidance on how it can be applied according to best practice principles. It consists of 4 sections:

- Eight habits of highly effective ICT-enabled development initiatives
