Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

ICT in teacher education: case studies from the Asia-Pacific region (pdf 2.4mb)

This study examines the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in teacher education programs in the Asia-Pacific region.

It contains a collection of case studies and identifies lessons on the most effective ways to use ICTs to support teacher education. Case studies are drawn from several countries including:
- Bhutan
- Malaysia
- Philippines
- China
- Nepal
- Bangladesh
- Mongolia
- Thailand
- Samoa

The findings of the study will be useful in assisting education planners, teachers, educators and researchers, particularly those in the Asia-Pacific region.
