Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Toolkit for mainstreaming HIV and AIDS in the education sector (pdf 1mb)

This toolkit is designed to support the process of mainstreaming HIV/AIDS into the education sector.  

It contains 12 tools providing practitioners with guidance on a range of issues including:
- How to make a competent and comprehensive assessments of the status of mainstreaming HIV/AIDS into education sector plans
- How to identify key areas that are not being addressed and decide on priorities
- How to develop a strategy for addressing the gaps
- How to constructively engage in dialogue with Ministries of Education and other partners to improve the mainstreaming of HIV/AIDS in education
- How to review progress towards HIV/AIDS mainstreaming in education
- How to access updated resources on HIV/AIDS mainstreaming in education for their own use and for sharing with other education partners
