Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Gender based violence communication skills manual

This training manual aims to help practitioners working on gender-based violence develop the communication and engagement skills needed to deal with victims, service providers and other stakeholders.

It includes all the resources required to conduct training, including a training outline, a list of materials needed, a training curriculum, and handouts.

Content of the training includes:

- An overview of gender based violence
- Engagement strategies for work with victims of gender based violence
- Methods to support service providers,
- An overview of service provider responsibilities and facilitation of community referrals

The manual can be downloaded as a single document or as individual chapters.
