This guide describes best practice in the clinical management of people who have been raped in emergency situations.It provides practical guidance on how to develop protocols covering a range of areas including:
- Making preparations to offer medical care to rape survivors

- Collecting forensic evidence
- Performing the physical and genital examination
- Prescribing treatment
- Counseling the survivor
- Follow-up care of the survivor
