Engaging and working with men and boys
Involving men to address gender inequalities (pdf 550kb)
This report describes three case studies of projects funded by USAID that aimed to improve gender equality through the engagement of men in the initiatives.The case studies include:
- An NGO working on mental, sexual and reproductive health in Mexico
- An NGO working on education and social justice issues in Northern India
- A gender and HIV/AIDS training package delivered to stakeholders in Africa and Asia
Each case study describes the approach, experiences and lessons from their attempts to engage men in activities to improve gender equality.
