Gender mainstreaming

Putting gender mainstreaming into practice (pdf 1.25mb)

This publication documents a series of presentations and discussions on gender mainstreaming held at a regional Asia-Pacific gathering of UN agencies in 2001.

The presentations and discussion notes provide practical insights and lessons on gender mainstreaming practices in the field, and include case studies from the Asia-Pacific region. They cover gender mainstreaming in areas such as institutional change, national budgets and intergovernmental processes.

It also includes a summary of key recommendations on gender mainstreaming that were agreed on by participants of the gathering.
