Checkpoint 6: What scope is there for public private partnerships?

  • Partnerships can involve private enterprises, governments and non-government organisations.
  • Potential partners include domestic enterprises, local NGOs, international NGOs, international corporations and multilateral agencies.
  • The 'Public Window' project, which uses ICT to improve good governance in Peru, came into being through a partnership between a national university, the World Bank, local civil society organizations and three municipal governments.
