Youth organisations in Sri Lanka: some dimensions and dynamics (pdf 640kb)

This qualitative study focuses on understanding how young people assume responsibilities within their communities in Sri Lanka.

The study looked at the operational dynamics of youth organisations, in particular their driving forces and motivations, current and evolving objectives and activities, trends, leadership and membership, links with external organisations, future vision and the government structures which support these organisations.

In the course of the study, information was also gathered on the challenges young people face as a population, including the quality of education, employment opportunities and attitudes to politics.
