National policies and strategies
National information technology policy in Thailand (pdf 760kb)
The study examines the gap between national policies promoting a knowledge-based society and organisational policies on technology in the private sector.Drawing on Thailand as a case study, the study examines the policies of 72 medium and large organisations relating to technology, professional activities and IT knowledge/skills.
It then assesses the alignment of these development plans with Thailand's national policy objectives.
Lessons and recommendations are given on how national governments can improve cooperation with the private sector to achieve policy objectives relating to ICT and knowledge building.
