Calls for green reconstruction of tsunami affected coastline
The World Wildlife Fund when calling for 'green' reconstruction of tsunami-devastated coastlines, said that better coastal development might have limited the impact of the tsunamis in the Indian Ocean. Places such as healthy coral reefs and mangroves could have acted as natural buffers and such places were less badly hit than areas where reefs were damaged and mangroves removed.- Resource link:
