The impact of the IICD health projects (pdf 225kb)

This brief explores whether ICT is used effectively to strengthen a conducive policy environment for the health sector, to improve the management of and access to information for health staff and to strengthen the deliver of health care services and information for patients and people in the community.

This is done by analysing the M&E data gathered from the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD) projects in health.

The brief starts by exploring how ICT can strengthen the health care sector and links these interventions with the  IICD health projects. The second part discusses the M&E results and the last summarises the main lessons-learned from the health projects.
