The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Study of financial access to health services for the poor in Cambodia Phase 2: in-depth analysis of selected case studies (pdf 800kb)

This report details phase 2 of a study to gauge the impact of various health financing schemes of access to public health services for the poor in Cambodia. It provides a more detailed qualitative data on the operation and impact of the pro-poor schemes, focusing on the demand-side issues of access to health services.

The Study of Financial Access to Health Services for the Poor in Cambodia has been carried out in two phases. Phase 1 of the Study (completed in April 2006), made a comprehensive national analysis access to health services for the poor across all health districts in Cambodia.

Phase 2 builds on the Phase 1 findings through the analysis of two in-depth case studies in one urban and one rural location, giving more detailed qualitative data on the operation and impact of the pro-poor schemes, focusing on the demand-side issues of access to health services.
