Coral Sea biodiversity review: sharks and fish (pdf 500kb)
A report commissioned by WWF-Australia has found that shark and other marine species populations in Australia's Coral Sea are particularly vulnerable to fishing and other threats. The main conclusion from this data is that the Coral Sea provides one of the few healthy preserves for many key coral reef special and populations. However, the sustainability of Coral Sea populations are highly susceptible to human impacts.
