Emergencies & fragile states

Interactive INEE minimum standards toolkit

The toolkit provides materials and resources to prepare for, provide, and account for education in emergency and fragile state environments.

Materials and resources align with and support the minimum standards which cover five categories:
- Minimum Standards Common to All Categories: the essential areas of community participation and utilization of local resources
- Access and Learning Environment: partnerships to promote access to learning opportunities
- Teaching and Learning: critical elements that promote effective teaching and learning: 1) curriculum, 2) training, 3) instruction, and 4) assessment.
- Teachers and other Education Personnel: the administration and management of human resources in the field of education
- Education Policy and Coordination: policy formulation and enactment, planning and implementation, and coordination.

The Toolkit will help users of the INEE Minimum Standards adapt the indicators to their local setting and contextualise the guidance notes, good practices and lessons learned.
