Evaluation of the pilot Stepping Stones program: Fiji (pdf 504kb)

This evaluation describes and assesses the implementation of Stepping Stones (SS) in Fiji and provides recommendations for the future scaling up into other Pacific Island countries. This evaluation focuses on four communities: all three communities that have implemented the entire SS package and one community (purposely chosen) that has 'part' implemented SS.

Stepping Stones (SS) is a program that aims to improve an individual's sexual health and decrease HIV/AIDS through community participation and local level decision making. It is a program that is firmly based in participatory learning techniques, and focuses on improving cross gender communication, relationship skills and consequences of risk-taking behaviour.
