Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Measuring gender equality: ANU Development Bulletin No. 71 (pdf 1mb)

This issue of Development Bulletin considers effective ways to measure progress towards the achievement of gender equality in ways that are straight forward and relevant and that provide useful information at international, national, and community or project levels.

The papers, discussion and recommendations resulted from a two-day symposium on the harmonisation of gender indicators, organised by the International Women's Development Agency and held at the Australian National University, June 15-19 2006.
