Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Women, mobility and reproductive health: assessment of the circumstances of mobility

This resource maps the occupational lives of migrant domestic, factory and sex workers with a view to frame the discussion on how occupational demands impact on the general and reproductive health of migrant women.

The analysis and findings of this research are meant to provide information and support to Thailand's national HIV/AIDS control program for a more sensitive and responsive implementation of their outreach operations. In addition, these are also meant to inform the practice of policy makers, health care providers, and organisations working with migrant women.
