Situational analysis & assessment of education for children with disabilities in Bangladesh, South Asia, East Asia & South Africa (pdf 610kb)
The report examines and describes successful case studies and identifies areas and possible interventions for strengthening and promoting inclusive education for disabled children.The research assessed and analysed the major shortfalls in existing design and implementation process of education programmes for disabled children.
The team focused on assessing the impact of special versus integrated and inclusive education. It found special education is an important compliment to inclusive education to meet the education needs of some percentage of disabled children.
