Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Family planning

Decision-making tool for family planning clients and providers

This is a multi purpose tool on family planning; decision-making aid; reference manual for providers; and a training resource.

It provides helpful pictures and key points, and a corresponding page for providers with key points and detailed reference information. It also includes a structured counseling process to guide health care providers.

The manual also provides evidence-based technical information on 14 family planning methods, including medical eligibility criteria, side-effects, when to start, and how to use each method.

Each section is divided into topics for separate download.
