This paper presents a statistically supported overview of the state of IT access and usage among women in developing countries.The purpose of the study is to provide USAID's Office of Women and Development with a conceptual framework to inform their creation of appropriate information and communication technology (IT) programs and activities for women and girls in developing countries.
The paper is useful for planners, policy makers, and practitioners around the world.
It is also available in French and Spanish.
