Financial and economic research methods (pdf 1.3mb)

This is a training manual detailing methods of financial and economic agricultural research based on a 5 day workshop.

The workshop is designed as an intensive five day activity, to cover a number of financial and economic research techniques and their applications to natural resource management. The workshop is supported by the notes on various research techniques provided in this workshop manual.

Most of the topics covered are relatively basic and widely used, including sample survey methods and methods of financial appraisal of investment projects.

An introduction is provided to some more advanced areas, including risk analysis, linear programming, and the application of cost-benefit analysis to research projects.
