Millennium Villages handbook (pdf 880kb)
The Millennium Villages focus centrally on the delivery of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the promotion of human security in impoverished rural areas through community-based investments and community-based capacity building.The Millennium Villages handbook aims to:
(1) lay out the key principles and core concepts of the Millennium Village approach
(2) describe how the current set of Millennium Villages are being implemented, and how such activities can be introduced and scaled up
(3) provide guidance to governments, non-governmental organizations, and multilateral organizations that wish to implement the Millennium Villages approach.
